Planet Saturn 3D Screensaver

Saturn is a large gas planet. It has the lowest density of any planet in our solar system and would actually float if it was placed in water! The winds in its atmosphere reach speeds up to 1700 kilometers per hour! It is known for its extensive ring system which is formed by a thousand individual rings that are composed of water ice and dust. Planet Saturn 3D Screensaver is an extraordinary 3D representation of this fascinating ringed planet.

Saturn 3D Space Tour

Saturn's ring system makes the planet one of the most beautiful objects in the solar system. It was difficult to reflect it's beauty by computer simulation, but after a lot of experiments on cutting edge of modern 3D technologyies we have reached the target of really photo-realistic simulated animation of this spectacular scene. Ring's shadows, incredible cosmic sunrises, atmospheric refraction and many other effects will catch your eyes.

Planet's Orbits

Planet's Orbits (for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP) is an accurate digital orrery with a wealth of functionality. The program uses the DE404 ephemeris (accurate for dates between 2000 B.C. and 6000 AD) for the calculation of planetary (except Pluto) and lunar positions. The calculation of the positions of the satellites of Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus is done by the various analytic theories given in the Explanatory Supplement to the Astronomial Almanac.
